The Elder Scrolls Skyrim Special Edition Coming to PS4 & Xbox One

Yes, You read that right, The Elder Scrolls Skyrim Special Edition is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 28th this year. This edition features new art and effects. Including brand new shaders, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen space reflections, new shaders and more.

This edition also takes a page from Fallout 4’s book and allows mods on the console editions. Bethesda have stated that Skyrim owners on PC will be granted the Special Edition if they already own all the Skyrim content on PC. This is because it’s essentially the same game with a fancy coat of paint. While the additional features are nice, it’s really the gameplay of this game that needs some work. It remains to be seen if there will be any changes aside from the graphical overhaul featured in the trailer.
