Hellblade Gameplay Footage Revealed
Sony have released a new trailer featuring gameplay footage for the upcoming PlayStation 4 hack and slash title Hellblade. The game is set for release in 2016 and will also be available on PC.
Initially Hellblade was described as a story based on Celtic myth. The protagonist Senua would embark on a hellish journey through the underworld. Further details have now surfaced about the plot. The hell is question is a manifestation of Senua’s mental illness. You will be playing through her living nightmare.
Senua will experience psychosis, such as delusions and hallucinations, along with depression and anxiety. This is quite a heavy handed subject matter, and it is our hope the developer does it right. They had touched on this sort of storytelling in their recent DmC reboot.
There’s very little chance that this game won’t be at Sony’s press conference at E3 next Monday, I’m sure that we will get further details of the game and stroy then. For more footage and information on Hellblade, you can check out the developer diary below.
