Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Story Trailer Released

In a post on their PlayStation Blog, Sony have released a new trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. This trailer encompasses the story of all three Uncharted titles, giving you a small picture of what’s in store for you this October.

This trailer also gives us a great look at the game running at 1080p & 60FPS and it looks stunning. We can only hope that the gameplay can stay locked to this framerate throughout. In the trailer you can also see how much hard work Blupoint games have put into this collection. The earlier entries in the series boast vastly improved graphics over the originals. Additionally, there have been various improvements to the lighting, rendering, texture mapping and dynamic audio of the titles. This ensures that you will be playing the definitive version of original Uncharted trilogy.

Bluepoint have also added in some new modes of gameplay to benefit new and returning players, along with new trophies and a photo mode. The new modes are as follows:

  • Explorer Mode is an all-new mode for beginners where combat difficulty is reduced greatly.
  • Speed Run Mode adds a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.
  • Brutal Difficulty Mode is the ultimate challenge as the gameplay will be more punishing than Crushing Difficulty (unlocked after beating Crushing Difficulty in the same game).

You will also have the ability to play through each of the games as any one of over 65 character skins available for your selection. Fans of Doughnut Drake will be pleased about this feature!

Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection will be releasing this October 9th exclusively on PS4. Players who purchase the title will receive beta access to the multiplayer component of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
