Star Ocean 5 Announced

Square Enix and tri-Ace have announced Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness, and it will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. It was initially confirmed by a Faimatsu leak and Square Enix have since launched a dedicated website for the title. It will be developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix.

The title will be set between the second and third entries in the series, and will be set on the planet of Feycreed, which is 6000 light years from earth. The battle system will be seamless and real-time. Your attacks will be dependent on your distance from the enemy. The game will also feature traditional event scenes along with “seamless events” with branching outcomes.

The title is being developed on PS3 first and ported to the PS4. It is apparently 30% complete at the moment. The producer has said that they are not putting any thought into story downloadable content at the moment, he doesn’t want a complete edition of the game being released somewhere down the line.
