Doom Reboot Teased

Bethesda have released a teaser trailer for the new Doom title. The game seems to be a reboot of Doom, rather than a fourth installment. Bethesda Softworks scrapped the original version of the title (called Doom 4 at this point), and went back to the drawing board. This title will also be the first to make use of id’s id Tech 6. A playable beta of the game will be made available to players who pre-ordered & purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order last year. This game has had a troubled development and to see Bethesda pushing it before e3 this year might mean that they are confident that it will impress.

The title is planned for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. At the moment details are scarce, but we will have more information on this title after Bethesda’s E3 Conference on the 14th of June. Bearing in mind that this is Bethesda’s first E3 conference of their own, it’s quite likely that there will be a number of large announcements from the publisher. Fallout 4 and a new Dishonored are also expected to be revealed. Be sure to check out the Doom teaser trailer above!
