Live blog of PlayStation Experience 2015. This post will be periodically updated with all the latest news and announcements live from the PlayStation Experience 2015.
The show opens with a look at the beginning of Uncharted 4. It shows Nathan Drake meeting his brother Sam for the first time in years and the ensuing catch up between the two. The video also showcased a selection of dialogue options, a first for the series.
Shawn Laden from Sony speaks about what’s to come in the show and then opens with a big reveal. A brand new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer. The trailer gives us our first glimpse of the combat in the game and from the looks of things, it’s in real time. Much like Crisis Core/Final Fantasy XV.
The original version of Final Fantasy VII is available now on PlayStation 4.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will receive it’s first DLC release in 2016 and it will be playable 30 days early on PlayStation 4.
Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software is out now. He’s here to talk about Battleborn, developed by the Borderlands team. It will have a campaign mode, with couch co-op. There will be 25 playable heroes in the title. There will be an open beta on PS4 coming early 2016 first on PS4. If you play the beta, you will receive a bonus character after launch. A 16th character from the title has been revealed, he’s called Toby, he is a penguin in a mech suit.
Next up is a new trailer for Street Fighter V, available February 18th 2016. Yoshinori Ono Executive Producer of Street Fighter V is now on stage. This man has infectious enthusiasm! Fang is the final launch character for Street Fighter V, he was just shown in a trailer. The line-up for the game is now complete. Guile, Alex, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri and Urien will be the first 6 DLC characters available post launch. All post launch characters are earnable for free post launch, but there will be a season pass available to access them as they are released.
Gio Corsi from Sony Computer Entertainment America is out now. Armature’s Dead Star (PS4/PC) has an exclusive game mode reveal. It’s a top down shooter where you defend your ship in space. Think FTL meets Super Stardust. Adult Swim Games montage is up now. Footage from Death’s Gambit (Soul’s Style Side Scroller, looks amazing), Ray’s The Dead, Duck Game, Small Radios Big Television and Head Lander by Double Fine.
Tim Schaffer out now to show off the Day of The Tentacle Remaster. It will release March 2016 for PS4 and PSVita. Full Throttle Remaster announced for PS4 and PS Vita, game will come alongside the untouched original. Psychonauts in the Rombus of Ruin announced, a VR title exclusive to PlayStation VR.
Invisible Inc, Don’t Starve Together, Zodiac Orcanon Odyssey, Hitman Go, Brawlhalla all show in quick succession in small trailers. Yakuza Zero will finally be releasing in the west, certainly a boon for Yakuza fans. Yakuza 5 will be available on the 8th December on PS3.
The Last Blade 2 will be coming to PS4 and Vita. King of Fighters XIV announced as a PS4 Console Exclusive. New trailer for Nioh shown, this title looked great at E3 earlier tis year. Very Dark Souls meets Onimusha. We definitely need more games like this.
Sid Shuman and Nick Suttner out now. Supergiant Games Bastion will be launching today on PlayStation 4. The BIT.TRIP will be launching on PS4, collection of their six titles. Nuclear Throne will also launch today on PS4 and Vita. Stormcloud Games reveal a new title called Brutal, it takes a lot of inspiration from old school ascii games.
New trailer for Major League Baseball The Show ’16, it’s pre-beta footage. Scott Rhode out now to talk about Guns Up! A new Strategy game which is Free to Play and will release today on PSN. PS+ members will get free DLC for the title also. Fat Princess Adventures announced for PS4, it will also be available today. It will feature 4 player online and local co-op. If you purchase before December 15th you will a receive free DLC pack. PS+ members will receive a discount on the title.
Ted Price from Insomniac out now to tale about the Ratchet & Clank remake. This title is much more than a re-imagining, it features new bosses, weapons and levels. New trailer shown. It will release April 12th 2016.
Richard Marks is out to talk about PlayStation VR. They show off a tech demo where you throw discs at each other. VR looks like it really might change gaming if it takes off. REZ Infinite announced and demoed.
Adam Boyes is out now with Asad Qizilbash to talk some more about PlayStation VR. Eagle Flight by Ubisoft revealed for PS VR. Sony Santa Monica’s The Modern Zombie Taxi Co has been revealed. It certainly looks interesting, seems to be an open world first person taxi game with terrible controls. Job Simulator the 2050 Archives also announced for PS VR. A reveal for Highwire Games now, Golem is made from the ground up on VR.
VR modes are being talked about now, non-VR games with VR enabled. 100ft Robot Golf is one of these titles, the name really says it all.
Bandai Namco have a final PlayStation VR reveal, it’s Ace Combat 7. It will be exclusive to PlayStation VR.
Destiny The Taken King time! There will be a brand new event coming this December 8th. For three weeks you will be able to go Sparrow racing on Mars and Venus. Sparrow Racing League is the name of the event.
Trailer for Hob is being shown, it’s from the makers of Torchlight.
A Level 5 title is being revealed, it is a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Ni No Kuni II Revenant Kingdom announced!
Epic games are out next. Epic is making a MOBA called Paragon. It releases on PS4 and PC in 2016. It’s a third person MOBA which is a bit unique in that genre. It will enter early access Spring 2016.
PlayStation Experience games in 2016 montage being shown now, looks like that’s a wrap for the show.
We will have more info about all the titles revealed as it comes! PlayStation Experience is a two day show so there will undoubtedly be more news come over the next few days.
