What Remains of Edith Finch – House Introduction Trailer

Giant Sparrow & Sony Santa Monica have released a new trailer for their upcoming title What Remains of Edith Finch. The title was shown off for the first time at the PlayStation Experience last December. The game is finally at a development point that Giant Sparrow feel ready to show it off. The game is a collection of short stories about the death of different members of the Finch family. Each story is intended to look and feel different from each other, the same way no two members of a family are alike.

Playing as the titular Edith, players will explore the house and unlocking rooms as they progress. Inside each room there will be something that tells you of the family member who lived in that room (like a diary or a collection of photos).

Giant Sparrow also developed the title The Unfinished Swan (of which you can check out our recent look back here), and it seems that this title will be in a similar vein. A surreal first person experience that tells a story in a unique way.

They plan to do a live demo of the title at this E3, and the plan is to play through the beginning of the game and the first short story present in the title. At the moment the title is set to launch exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2016.
