Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster Announced

A trailer has surfaced showing off the first footage of the Resident Evil Zero HD remaster. It had been expected for some time, especially considering Capcom’s plan to release more remastered titles this year. This will be the first time the title is playable on a non-Nintendo console.

This new release takes the 2002 original and transforms the game with new improved sound, widescreen support and the optional modernized control system present in Resident Evil HD. The visuals will be enhanced with new high-resolution textures, created from scratch to give players a full 1080p support on the next-gen consoles.

Resident Evil Zero takes place in 1998 before the events of the original game. The Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. division send in their Bravo team to investigate a series of unusual murders on the city outskirts. In the game players will control rookie cop, Rebecca Chambers and death row convict, Billy Coen. You will switch between both as necessary. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses and this will be key to solving the puzzles and defeating the enemies that face you throughout the title.

Resident Evil Zero HD will be releasing early 2016 on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and PS4.
