Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition Trailer
Capcom have finally unveiled a trailer for Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. The remastered title will feature new modes, new gameplay options, visual improvements and the largest selection of playable characters ever seen in a Devil May Cry title. The main addition to the title is the option to play as Vergil, a character who had a very minimal presence in the original version of the title.
For Vergil’s appearance Capcom have to built on the foundation of his gameplay style from Devil May Cry 3. They added in elements of his gameplay style from DmC and have stated that this version is the definitive version of the character. They have added a brand new “Concentration” mechanic that allows his attacks to become stronger and stronger the more flawlessly he fights. This and other additions have created a gameplay experience unlike Dante or Nero.
Lady and Trish have also been made playable for the Special Edition version of the title, which means we will now have a total of five playable characters. Lady’s style is drastically different from the other characters as it mainly emphasizes on firearms and ranged combat. Trish’s style is also different mainly focusing on using the sword Sparda in a variety of different ways.
In addition to the new characters, Capcom have also included the “Legendary Dark Knight Mode”, previously only available in the PC version of the title. This mode faces the player with an obscene amount of enemies at once which makes for a very different play style. The title will also feature a selection of new costumes for the characters.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be coming this Summer to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
