Gears of War Ultimate Edition Launch Trailer

Microsoft have just released a launch trailer for Gears of War Ultimate Edition. This trailer pays homage to a trailer released prior to the original Gears of War launch. It uses the same theme song, Mad World and is a visual re-imagining of the original trailer. The capitalization of nostalgia from the original release is a great way to market these remasters. If you can make the player remember what they loved about the original, you’ll have an easier job reselling them the game.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition will be launching on Xbox One on August 28th, a PC release will follow sometime this year. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition on Xbox One will get the four Xbox 360 Gears of War titles free. These titles will be playable on Xbox One when backwards compatibility launches later this year.
